在本次展覽中，我延續了對「空缺的家族記憶」之追索——母親在我出生之前曾經歷了一對雙胞胎的流產。這段隱晦的往事鮮少被提及，也未曾在影像中留下痕跡，只能透過重構與想像進行召喚。而那些未能誕生進入存在的生命，如同時間裡若隱若現的痕跡，在顯現與消散之間不斷游移。
面對這份缺席，我嘗試以 AI 圖像的演算生成，從零散的關鍵字中建構出不存在的存在。其中，雙胞胎似乎強化了這段缺席記憶的曖昧性——他們在相似中潛藏差異，在並置中又保持距離。這種既重合又分離的關係，成為我探索複製與相似性的起點。我將生成的影像透過翻模與轉譯的物質操作，讓它們在複製中產生偏移，形成如同雙胞胎般的複象：彼此映照，卻永不重疊。這些影像既像檔案的回返，也像記憶的變形與扭曲。
藉由物質的脆弱與不穩定，《時間的浮層》將消逝轉化為持續在場的痕跡。蠟與肥皂在轉換過程中展現的可融、可碎與不確定，猶如記憶在時間流動裡留下的層疊斷裂。最終，展覽在影像與物質的交錯中，召喚出一段未被實現卻持續迴響的家族史。

In this exhibition, I continue my pursuit of the “absent family memory”—the story that, before my birth, my mother experienced a miscarriage of twins. This veiled past was seldom spoken of and never left a trace in images; it can only be summoned through reconstruction and imagination. Those lives that never entered existence are like faint traces in time, hovering between appearance and disappearance.
Confronting this absence, I turn to AI image generation, constructing a presence out of scattered keywords. The figure of the twins seems to intensify the ambiguity of this missing memory—they conceal difference within resemblance, maintain distance while being placed side by side. This simultaneous overlap and separation becomes my point of departure for exploring replication and similarity. The generated images are further processed through molding and material translation, producing shifts in their reproduction. They become twin-like doubles: reflecting one another, yet never overlapping. These images resemble both the return of an archive and the deformation and distortion of memory.
Through the fragility and instability of material, Strata of Time transforms disappearance into traces that persist in presence. Wax and soap, in their potential to melt, shatter, and remain uncertain, echo the layered ruptures left by memory within the flow of time. Ultimately, the exhibition summons a family history that was never realized yet continues to reverberate—through the interplay of image and matter.
▎藝術家介紹 Artist Introduction
田欣以
出生於臺灣高雄。國立臺南藝術大學應用藝術研究所碩士，現為藝術工作者，曾於芬蘭、日本、美國等多個地方有過駐村展演經驗。創作以立體雕塑為主要表現形式，聚焦於記憶、家庭與身分等議題。善於以個人經驗為切入點，透過材質的重構與轉譯，探索真實與虛構之間的界限，並為日常中隱藏的情感與歷史間隙開拓更多想像的可能性。
